Today has been a fun day!
We got to start on the new grazing field for the cow. She has been stuck in the pig pen waiting for a new home now for a while. We had the opportunity to take on a bottle calf last winter. She is no longer a calf and we are desperately trying to get her some fresh grass to eat and get her off the hay bales.
Here she is trying to be a pig. So cute!
Good morning everyone! Hope all is well with you and yours. Today we get to do a very special project. For some reason the well pump has stopped pumping! We get to dive in and figure it out!
Some time later…
We found that the Well pump was fine but the pipe it was attached to broke. After a pipe replacement and lots of hours emptying, and fixing the well it is as good as new!
Last night was a big night! our Sow had her first litter. She delivered 10 healthy pigs. She was in labor for around 24 hours and actively delivering for about 3 hours. It was a long night! momma is doing great and we are not getting much sleep.
Life is sweet!
